wiiGO Robot, wiiGO, Autonomous Shopping Cart

wiiGO Robot: Robots are already coming to stores to help customers shop more conveniently. Autonomous shopping carts are the next step. Take wiiGO for instance. It is an autonomous, self-driving shopping cart that follows people in commercial areas. It has image recognition to identify the user in 2 seconds. just push the “play” button to see real magic happening! Furthermore, distance sensors allow wiiGO to identify and avoid any obstacle along the way. This caddy’s goal is to facilitate the daily life of people with reduced mobility (pregnant woman, disabled person, elderly). It was developed in partnership with Follow Inspiration (a portuguese startup) and Five Elements Robotics.Follow Inspiration, with 14 employees, invented Wiigo in 2013. « Our founder, Luis De Matos, is in wheelchair since 14. As a computer engineer, the idea came to his mind because of his personal needs. »
